IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION:

ENBREL is a medication that impacts your immune system and may lower its ability to combat infections. Instances of severe infections, including tuberculosis (TB) and infections stemming from viruses, fungi, or bacteria spreading throughout the body, have been reported in patients using ENBREL. Some fatalities have occurred due to these infections. Prior to commencing ENBREL treatment, it is essential that your healthcare provider assesses you for TB and monitors you closely for any signs of TB, regardless of a prior negative TB test.

Children and teenage patients starting TNF blockers like ENBREL before 18 years of age have experienced rare occurrences of unusual cancers, some resulting in death. Moreover, individuals taking TNF blockers like ENBREL— including children, teenagers, and adults— may face an elevated risk of developing lymphoma or other types of cancer. Patients with RA may be at greater risk of lymphoma development.

Possible Side Effects of ENBREL:

ENBREL may lead to severe side effects such as: new infections or exacerbation of existing ones; reactivation of hepatitis B if you previously had it; nervous system disorders like multiple sclerosis, seizures, or nerve inflammation in the eyes; fatal blood disorders; new or worsening heart failure; new or worsening psoriasis; allergic reactions; autoimmune responses such as a lupus-like syndrome and autoimmune hepatitis.

Common side effects encompass injection site reactions and upper respiratory infections (sinus infections). Be sure to notify your healthcare provider of any persistent or bothersome side effects.

Please avoid administering live vaccines with ENBREL. It is not recommended to use ENBREL alongside anakinra, abatacept, or cyclophosphamide.
